what: a tongue-in-cheek take on an earlier (and actually quite serious) issue i wrote about here, on the privelage of environmentalism, and its failure to take disabled lives into account.

what: a piece on the use of allegory as a method of conveying the reality of living with a disability.

what: a piece that begins to discuss the privelage of environmentalism, and its failure to take disabled lives into account. considering the massive consequences of, and discussions possible on, this topic, it’s merely an opening. i’d like to see a lot more work go into this area – particularly as regards to the place of disability (or rather, ‘lack of space for disability’) in activist movements in general.

But change may be in the air, as true blood, twilight, and the vampire diaries feature female vampires that transgress restrictive boundaries.
